The Ocean Data Tapestry International Forum (ODTIF), officially approved in April 2026 as a UNESCO-IOC Blue Thread project in the field of Ocean Literacy, is now launching its full-scale activities. We are pleased to hold an online webinar in which Founder Members will come together.

Online via ZOOM – Partially open (Primarily for Founder Members; institutions interested in attending may apply in advance)

ODTIF Founder Members (institutional representatives and working-level staff)
▶ Agenda
Understanding Ocean Literacy and ODTIF Overview
Background of the UNESCO-IOC Blue Thread project and ODTIF vision (Ocean Data Tapestry)
Introduction to Art Farm LK’s UN Ocean Decade activities (examples of last year’s art and education projects)
Review of ODTIF Steering Committee Rules
Review and feedback on the draft rules prepared by the Secretariat (election of Chair, establishment of the operating body, scope of activities, etc.) (Expected to include discussion on electing an interim Chair in the form of a Founders’ Temporary General Meeting)
2026 ODTIF Overall Schedule and Field-specific Activity Plans
Briefing on plans for each area, including Art Forum Series, policy forums, and data platform development
Exploration of International Collaboration Opportunities and ODA Project Linkages
Identification of potential KOICA/ODA international cooperation projects
Discussion on joint initiatives with Founder Member institutions such as KEI, UF, and VNU
Q&A and Open Discussion
Additional proposals and collaboration ideas
This webinar will serve as an important milestone in developing ODTIF into a practical international cooperation platform following the Blue Thread approval.
